Those who can report work for reputable blogs, the rest of us just steal for our Gameist rabble.
Kotaku seems to be onto a good lead on the upcoming release. Famitsu, a Japanese gaming blog, ran an announcement for a new Wii Resident Evil game, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. It seems to be another rail shooter in the style of Umbrella Chronicles.
I'm sure you're not interested in the news it's self though, but are thinking "But what does Moonbeam Glasscock think about this?" I'll tell you. I'm torn. I love rail shooters, but Umbrella Chronicles was extremely disappointing. Between its awful voice acting (expected) and its technical shortcomings (unexpected) I ended up with a 50 dollar sinkhole that I now can't even play since I upgraded to a widescreen TV.
While I haven't played the new House of the Dead, the bundled re-release of House of the Dead 1 and 2 really impressed me. Those were great rail shooters, ported well with enough new features to keep me engaged after dozens of playthroughs.
Plus it's nice to kill zombies with two guns, which you couldn't do in Umbrella Chronicles.
